Through this project, you will learn the fundamentals of quilt making. We will be hand sewing in this workshop, but the techniques can also be done by sewing machine. Some hand sewing experience is helpful but not necessary. We will use running stitch and applique stitch. Because textiles were so precious, all scraps were carefully gathered to use again and again, often pieced and layered together to make new fabric for further use. We will carry on this time-honored tradition in this workshop.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the teacher: \u003c\/strong\u003eJeeYeun Lee has been sewing since she was 9 years old, when she started sewing clothes for dolls. Since then, she has sewn garments, bags, quilts, household textiles, and many alterations.
