In this 2 hour workshop bring your own sewing machine and get to know it.
Tickets are limited! This will be a small intimate group of 4 plus the sewing teacher, Nandi.

Who this is for:
- you've sewn on your machine, but you can't get the settings right
- your sewing machine is running without any problems (except user error)
- you'd like to dust your sewing machine off and start a small project
- you're frustrated with your sewing machine
- you need help threading your machine
- you need help getting the tension right
- you'd like to sew a small project
- you're open to testing out a new workshop format
- ages 16+
Who this isn't for:
- you've never sewn before on a sewing machine
- your sewing machine doesn't run
- you don't own a sewing machine*
*If you don't own a sewing machine but are interested in the workshop: we have one sewing machine that is available to borrow. Please get in touch via email too see if it's available: nandi@blissjoybull.com.
What to bring:
- your sewing machine
- two colors of all-purpose sewing thread
- your sewing manual, if you have it
- patience while we test out this new workshop format <3
- a small sewing project, for e.g.:
- a woven garment with a hole (denim, woven pants or shirt)
- a garment that has a small rip, or tear that's on the seam
- a patchwork project
- a small upcycling project
- a hair scrunchie
- to name a few!
We will have the following to borrow:
- thread snips
- fabric shears
- limited thread
- pins and needles
- seam rippers
- lots of fabric scraps
What is a beta workshop? We're testing a new workshop format to get a better understanding of what you're needing for this kind of class. It will also help us plan better for future workshops. If that doesn't sound interesting to you, please wait until we're out of beta mode!
Location: 1210 W Granville Ave, West Storefront. We're located a block west of the Granville red line station and the Broadway 36 bus.
Accessibility & Parking: There are two steps down to get into the space. Our restroom is not ADA compliant. There is paid parking on Broadway and Granville Ave. I generally can find parking further west on Granville that's free. Note: there's permit parking perpendicular and north of Granville Ave.
We'll have coffee, tea, and snacks. Feel free to BYOB.

- If BLISS JOY BULL needs to cancel a workshop, we will notify you 24 hours before the class and give you the option of refund or reschedule.
- If you're unable to attend the workshop, email us 48-hours before the class starts for a refund.
- We're unable to refund tickets with less than 24 hours notice.
