Our quilted heart lavender sachets are a labor of love and a fabric waste-minimizing project!
I start by gathering all of our smallest fabric scraps. These scraps are arranged and sewn together in a style of quilting called crumb quilting. Virtually no scraps are left behind. Or, if they are they are stuffed into the sachet before it's sewn up!
The sachets are filled with dried lavender from Sequim, Washington and upcycled fabric scraps.
Each sachet is:
- Made from upcycled cotton scraps that have been quilted together and sewn on to upcycled stretch denim
- Filled with dried lavender and cotton scraps
- Meant to be hung for decoration or store with garments for a subtle lavender scent
- Each heart is one of a kind
- Sizes vary from about 3.5" (8.9 cm) - 5.5" (12.7 cm)
- Back of hearts vary from solid denim to bright pink or neon green.
