Melt the tension in your neck and shoulders with a handmade-by-you cherry pit warmer. These simple hot/cold packs are an easy 1-hour sewing project. Perfect for giving to a loved one, or yourself!
Bring your own sewing machine to this make and take workshop. You'll leave with one medium-sized cherry pit warmer plus instructions for making different sizes and how to use it.
The class fee includes materials to create one, medium-sized cherry pit warmer. Feel free to stay for the whole time if you'd like to make more warmers for gift giving. You can purchase more materials day of if you'd like to make more than one warmer.
One hour will be plenty of time to make up to 2 warmers. Plan for more time if you want to patchwork your material first.
Why dried cherry pits? Dried cherry pits will retain a moist heat when heated in the microwave. Or, put them in the freezer for a cold pack. They will retain the heat for about 45 minutes long. Cherry pit bags can provide comfort and relieve muscle cramps.
You can purchase materials for additional warmers now, or on the day of. Each additional warmer will cost as follows:
- $10/pair of hand warmers or 1 x eye pillow
- $20 for medium size warmers
- $25 for large size warmers
If you bring your own fabric for additional warmers, you can purchase cherry pits by the pound. $48 is required whether or not you bring your own fabric.
