May 22: Drop-in Patch Class

Drop in during open shop hours to sew a patch. You can bring a button down shirt, jean jacket, or jeans, and we’ll show you how to attach the patch to your garment. Or take your patch with you and sew it at home! Patching fabric, needles, pins, sashiko, and embroidery thread, provided to make your own patch. Hand sew a patch in about 45 minutes to 1.5 hours with instruction. For adults 18+. 

Date & Time: Friday, May 22, 1:00 - 6:00 PM

This is for anyone who'd:

• like to hand sew a quick project
• get out of your house for a little afternoon break
  
• repair a small hole in a garment
• sew with sashiko thread
• check out our shop
  
• beginners
• ages 18+

This technique is best for: 

• 100% cotton or denim with 5% stretch or less or no-stretch denim
• 100% cotton clothing or clothing with 5% stretch or less
• Not meant for knit clothing, like t-shirts, for example

What's included:

• tools and materials to make one patch to bring home or sew it on while you're here!

We will have the following to borrow:

• thread snips
• fabric shears
• thread in a variety of colors
• pins and needles
  

Location: 1210 W Granville Ave, West Storefront. We're located a block west of the Granville red line station and the Broadway 36 bus.

Accessibility & Parking: There are two steps down to get into the space. Our restroom is not ADA compliant. There is paid parking on Broadway and Granville Ave. I generally can find parking further west on Granville that's free. Note: there's permit parking perpendicular and north of Granville Ave.

• At least two people are needed for this workshop to run.
• Due to limited workshop capacity, store credit refunds are only available for cancellations made at least one week in advance. Thank you for your understanding!
