Welcome to the Troubleshoot Tuesdays! Pare down your mending pile while sewing with our in-person community. Chat and share clothes-mending ideas. 

Bring your sewing machine or a garment you need help mending. We’ll spend 15 minutes troubleshooting your machine or garment. First come first served. This is a free event but tips are appreciated! Or just come and work on a project in our space!

  • A time and place to work on your fiber craft projects
  • Come with your mending pile and questions
  • Meet at 1210 W Granville Ave at BLISS JOY BULL's Brick & Mortar shop
  • Stay for 2 hours or pop in for as long as you can
  • Chat and share clothes-mending ideas + fiber arts
  • Meet other sewers/ menders/ fiber artists
  • Informal/non-teaching workshop, but feel free to ask any repair questions
  • All fiber crafts welcome!
  • Ages 18+ or 14+ with an adult present

Date & Time: Tuesday, September 29, 6:30-8:30 PM

We will have the following to borrow:

  • thread snips
  • fabric shears
  • limited thread
  • pins and needles
  • seam rippers
  • lots of fabric scraps
  • a sewing machine will be available but feel free to bring your own

We also have an assortment of sewing supplies to purchase such as:

  • sewing machine needles
  • hand sewing needles
  • thread snips
  • fabric shears
  • sashiko thread
  • and more!

If you want to rent the sewing machine and have never sewn before: please schedule a 1:1 appointment here first. 

What to bring: 

  • a project to work on or share with the group
  • sewing supplies to work on your project
  • snacks or drinks to share, if desired!

Location: 1210 W Granville Ave, West Storefront. We're located a block west of the Granville red line station and the Broadway 36 bus.

Accessibility & Parking: There are two steps down to get into the space. Our restroom is not ADA compliant. There is paid parking on Broadway and Granville Ave. I generally can find parking further west on Granville that's free. Note: there's permit parking perpendicular and north of Granville Ave.  

Workshop Policies: Please review policies below before committing to a workshop.

  • If BLISS JOY BULL needs to cancel a workshop, we will notify you 24 hours before the class and give you the option of refund or reschedule.
  • If you're unable to attend the workshop, email us 48-hours before the class starts for a refund. 
  • We're unable to refund tickets with less than 24 hours notice.
